Math

Keep Change Flip

Keep Change Flip

Helps you remember how to divide fractions.

Quick self-quiz

Tap each word to check what it stands for.

When to use it

Use it whenever you see a fraction divided by a fraction, reminding you to rewrite the problem as multiplication before simplifying.

Example

34÷25\frac{3}{4} \div \frac{2}{5} becomes 34×52=158\frac{3}{4} \times \frac{5}{2} = \frac{15}{8}.

Common mistake

Flipping the first fraction instead of the second. You keep the first fraction exactly as it is and only flip the divisor.
