Robot Route Programmer

Your goal

Program the robot from column 1 row 5 to column 3 row 5. Execute every command and reach the flag without any blocked moves.

Reduced motion is on. The controls still update the scene.

Executed 0 of 0 commands. Robot at column 1 row 5, facing east. No blocked moves.

The grid has five rows and columns, fixed obstacles and a maximum of 24 commands. Blocked forward moves leave the robot in place and are reported as debugging feedback. Runs execute the visible list immediately; the one command control lets you inspect every step.

Learn with Robot Route Programmer

Robot Route Programmer turns a short sequence of instructions into a visible trip across a grid. Elementary learners add forward moves and left or right turns, then execute one command at a time or run the full program. The robot follows the written order, records its path, and reports moves blocked by walls or obstacles. Goals move the destination across three rows, inviting students to revise a route and test it again. The bounded command list and execution marker make sequencing and debugging concrete without requiring typed programming syntax.

What to look for

Follow the heading

A turn changes the direction of the next forward move.

Step through the code

The execution marker shows which command will run next.

Debug blocked moves

Remove the last command or clear the program, then try a new route.

For teachers and curious learners

Sequence, step through and debug a visible robot program. Ask students to predict what will happen, change one setting, and explain what they observe. Learn gives a starting point. Practice and Challenge offer new goals with the same scene.

A deterministic five by five grid with discrete turns, blocked cells and at most 24 commands.
