Florida Grade 2 FAST Mathematics Practice

Try original Grade 2 mathematics questions with pictures, hints and explanations, then build, draw and measure with an adult.

Choose one answer, or select all answers when asked. These independent classroom questions sample all 27 Grade 2 B.E.S.T. mathematics curriculum benchmarks. This inventory is not an official Star Math item blueprint: not every curriculum benchmark is assessed by Star. This is not an adaptive test or a prediction of official scores.

An adult can read the mathematics stories aloud. Have paper and a pencil ready. Official K–2 FAST Mathematics uses headphones and blank scratch paper. This practice has no official time limit.

Ask for a hint when you need one. All levels use the same original questions.

Question 1 of 55 · MA.2.NSO.1.1

Which number is six hundred eight?

Choose one answer.

Build, draw, measure and talk

These unscored activities let an adult observe work that answer choices cannot show, including sketches, measuring, making data displays and quick fact recall. Choosing correct answers alone does not demonstrate automaticity or full benchmark mastery. Open the adult guidance for materials and checkpoints. Pictures on a screen are schematic, not life-size rulers or coins.

Mathematics with an adult

Unscored adult observations. Listen, speak, and practice together.

Read/write standard, expanded and word forms
